I am eternally optimistic and hope to meet a friend who has time to walk and talk ,travel, share music, cookking loving and laughing together.I have my children in Bristol who have their own families now and we meet regularly but I am not the Nanny who sits and waits for them to call and babysit...although I do if asked!
I like to keep fit ,mainly aerobic and yoga-type.I love walking even in the rain ..I would prefer a deep thinker who enjoys conversation with me and others, sometimes esoteric, metaphysical topics.
I was a Primary teacher,retrained as a counsellor/therapist .
I have had a varied life,married for a long time to a 'high-flyer' and enjoyed the material rewards then but now realise that there are far more important things in life like true friendship,love and laughter!

FIRST DATE :
I am quite confident about meeting people but not everyone feels the same .So maybe as a first date I would hope to meet up by the harbourside... I love water and most people find it fascinating and calming ,, we have plenty of it in Bristol!! Then stroll along and choose a cafe/bar... have coffee,wine ,juice whatever feels right.. stroll again and if all goes well arrange a longer date !
